About this site
memovoult.com is an independent research desk covering one product. This page explains who writes it, how the research is done, how the site is funded, and where the conflicts of interest are.
Who we are
memovoult.com is written and maintained by a small independent editorial team that researches direct-to-consumer supplements. We are not doctors, we are not pharmacists, and we do not present ourselves as either. We are people who read primary research carefully and write down what it says in plain English, and we are explicit throughout the site about where our competence ends and a clinician's begins.
We are not affiliated with the manufacturer or seller of Memo Volt in any way beyond the affiliate relationship described below. We have never been contacted by them, we have no editorial relationship with them, and nothing on this site has been reviewed or approved by them.
How we research a page
Every ingredient page starts with the label, moves to the published human research for that ingredient, and records the dose those studies actually used. Where human research does not exist, we say so rather than substituting animal work and hoping you will not notice the difference. Government and institutional sources — the National Institute on Aging, NCCIH, the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, MedlinePlus and the FDA — are cited on the pages that rely on them.
Where the honest answer is that nobody knows, we write that the answer is that nobody knows. That sentence appears on our evidence page about the central question of whether the product works, and we are not going to dress it up.
How this site makes money
Through affiliate commissions. If you click one of our order links and buy, the seller pays us a commission, and your price is unchanged. That is the entire business model: no advertising, no sponsored placements, no paid reviews, no email list sold to anyone.
This is a real conflict of interest and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do about it is publish the things that cost us money: the complaints page, the side effects page, the sections telling specific readers not to buy this product, and an evidence page that grades the formula unproven. You are entitled to weigh our disclosure against our conclusions, and the pages above are how we would want that weighing to go.
Four rules we hold to
- No invented people. We never present fabricated customers as real ones. The example accounts on our reviews page are labelled composites because that is what they are.
- No disease claims. No supplement treats dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and we say so on every page where someone might hope otherwise.
- Publish the bad news.Complaints, interactions and negative evidence get the same prominence as anything else, whatever it costs in commissions.
- Correct errors visibly. If we get something wrong and you tell us, we fix it and we do not quietly pretend it never said the old thing.
Getting in touch
Corrections, questions and complaints all go to [email protected] or through our contact page. We cannot help with orders, refunds or shipping, because we never see your order — those go to the merchant of record on your receipt.
